In the Fall of 2001, Mark, Sameer, Nick, Scott, Jason, Ken, and Andrew (known as the "Original 6") founded the Toronto Protege Club. It was a small gathering of owners who shared the same passion and enthusiasm for the Mazda Protégé models. Shortly after, a message board was formed and was a base that was used to share, exchange and contribute knowledge, meet other owners and organize social gatherings. As of Spring 2002, the club’s membership grew to nearly 250 members.
Just six years after this humble beginning, The Toronto Protege Club proudly stands at a whopping 3,000+ members; the majority of which live in Southern Ontario, Canada.
