PITL/TLMC - End of another season
As sad as it is, this weekend pretty much marks the end of the season
. Its been an interesting year for sure. Very unpredictable. But its not quite over yet! 2 events are left. The weather is looking good! Its time to get it all out of your system now. Because it looks like its going to be another long and cold winter. ---------------------------------------------------------------- SHOOTOUT time! 2011 PITL - Event #8, Saturday October 1 http://www.wiredmotorsports.com/pitl Venue: Bramalea Go-Train Station South lot, near the corner of Steeles and Bramalea in Brampton. Directions: Dixie Road, north of Hwy 407 to Advance Blvd, east to Alfred Kuehne Blvd follow to end. http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&sourc...1,0.01929&z=16 Event Registration: 7:30-9:00am. First car 9:15am Entry fee: $35.00 / driver LUNCH INCLUDED! Questions? Email thelimit@rogers.com Other 2011 Event Dates: Awards Banquet - TBD ---------------------------------------------------------------- TLMC Event 7 Event Schedule: Registration opens at 8:15 and closes at 9:15 Driver meeting at 9:30 Cars on course ASAP As usual, there will be no lunch break. There are two Tim Horton's near by, a Little Ceasar's, a Mac's Convenience store as well as others. Feel free to bring a lunch with you...even a small portable BBQ/hibachi is a good idea. Water, sunscreen, and even an umbrella are good items to have on hand also. Classing: This year, TLMC has moved to using the CASC-OR classing. The rulebook and bulletins can be found here: http://www.casc.on.ca/autoslalom_rules If you need help classing your car, post here, or send me an e-mail. Marshaling: Competitors are required to marshal after EACH run. We would appreciate it if you could report to the chief marshal immediately after your run in order to keep the event running smoothly. The sooner you get to your marshaling station, the more time you will have to relax before your next run. Event Fees: TLMC Members - $20 Non-TLMC Members - $30 As a perk for being a TLMC member, course maps will be e-mailed before the event. ***REMINDER*** - Helmets MUST be SNELL M2000/SA2000 approved or newer! Also, please help us SUPPORT THE ELIZABETH FRY GROCERY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (G.A.P.) This year we are stepping up our community support. We've decided to help "fill the G.A.P." by collecting non-perishable food items at all of our events. PLEASE help out by bringing what you can. Below are a couple of news articles from the Examiner. The first highlights why we chose the Elizabeth Fry G.A.P. over the Barrie Food Bank, and the second shows how quickly things can turn around with a little help. Examiner Article #3091403 Examiner Article #3096112 See you Sunday! ---------------------------------------------------------------- Dont think you need coils, or r's or something crazy to compete. Its all driver. Even in a stock car, odds are you will still be beat by a isuzu stylus.
