Synthetic Oil..Worth it or not?

Hey everyone! I've been running regular oil in my 03 P5 since I bought the car in 07. I was wondering if it would truly be worth the switch to Synthetic Oil? I would appreciate any comments. Does the car run any better? More power/acceleration? Smoother idle? etc.. thanks!

I rock synthetic. But I have since I've owned the car and the previous owner did too.

So it is up to you, if you aren't and you're over 150k, I'd stick with what you're using - it works.

Thanks guys. I usually do use high mileage oil and change it less than every 4000km. I was just curious if it would be worth the switch.
