You are not tapping the wires, you are cutting them and splicing in the AFC. You can crimp them together with a butt connector.

don't use butt connectors or taps or any of that other bullshit.

cut, strip, solder, shrink wrap, e-tape, loom.

You're talking about 0-1.5v low voltage signals, which your tune relies on.
you're not splicing speaker wires together.

do it right and have piece of mind that some piece of plastic isn't what's keeping your motor from killing itself.

^^ I second the soldering. Although he stated that he did not want to solder before. Bring it to waterdown next weekend and I will solder it in for $40.
