Mostly my fault. First mistake: buying used coilovers to save money. Those things turned out to be a very early generation and have been on the street for at least 6 years when I bought them. Rear shocks have been fine until one of them gave out during the fun runs at the autocross school. That was just from old age and lots of miles. Not even Bilsteins can last forever.

The fronts, the God damn fronts, were deliberately shortened by design to allow a super slammed ride. I didn't want a super low ride height so I set them as high as possible. My mistake was in putting just a bit too much preload on the springs, they ended up pulling the shocks apart. Took two rebuilds to even realize that mistake.

Bumpy, pot-hole ridden Toronto roads also didn't help things.

Anyway, my life and career situation changed and I don't have time to deal with it anymore. Going back to just lowering springs for now.

The number of people showing up at Mosport is going to be huge! And its pretty cheap for running on the DDT.

CASC-OR no longer has the June 10th event at Shannonville, so it is down to six events for the season. The turnout at Mosport was amazing with a fast paced course that was enjoyed by all. Finally, I leave you with one image, courtesy of the driver of the red RX-8 in the CASC-OR series and the question of what's stopping you from coming out
