Can anyone reccomend a body shop, in the mississauga area, that can take care of some rust? It's isolated to a few areas in the engine bay, near the struts. also the rear quarters and a few spots on the bar between the front and rear doors. I would want it dont properly though, cutting and welding. I'll see if i can get some pictures of the affected area.

They were good with me and did decent work. Price was reasonable (not lowest, not highest). All they do is body work. |

Before you dropping $ on your first car, how long you planning on keeping this car?
The reason I'm asking is if you only planning to keep it for 1-2 yrs....is it worth spending to mod it, fix the rust, etc... Speaking from past exp when I bought my first car, I was a bit excited and spent a bit more money on it than I should, I ended up sold it after 12 months and move on to something else. Like others said....getting the parts from other members is the cheapest option (vendors may not like that, lol). If I bought all my aftermarket parts brand new from shop, I'm probably in a huge debt already, lol Congrad to you new car.

Well i'd like to put a fair bit of money into this car over the next while, so yea i plan to drive it much longer then 1-2 years, thats why I am looking at fixing this rust properly before it gets worse, so i have a solid foundation to build on.
I figure instead of buying a new car for ~14k i'd rather put the same money into this one. I have lots of plans, suspension, brakes, built kl, and a bit of exterior along the way. it's just going to happen kind of slow, over a year or so. |
