Intake Air Temp Sensor..

Reset by taking the Positive lead off the battery and tapping the brake pedal.

Wait 60 seconds then hook it up again.

Also last night I put the original intake back on the MP3 and it didn't fix the problem. Smoking lasted 1-2 min into the drive

Ok I'll try resetting, and I'm sure I installed everything properly.

Kinda wanting to put some closure on this thread on what the problem was. I bought NeilV's mp3 and a few days after I bought the car it started smoking, So I started this tread really hoping it was something small >< boy was I wrong. Asked a few freinds and my mechanic and all signs were pointing to a leaking valve seal. Got an estimate from my mechanic and had to think about getting the valve seals done as it was going to be a decently priced job. After a few weeks of driving it as is and in hopes of having this car for a while I decided to go for it. A few days after I dropped off my car at the shop my mechanic sends me a pic of my engine with a screw-drive stuck in a massive crack in one of the pistons. Already being committed to getting this done the next step was for a full rebuild, doubling the cost. Moral of the story it had absoulutly nothing to do with the intake.

Damn that sucks...looks like motor swap time, it's usually cheaper. I've had a "low km jdm" motor in my daily for the past 2 years with no issues but a buddy's "low km jdm" only lasted 10 months before spewing oil everywhere....keep us posted on what's happening..
