Soooo
Engines bottom end is all together and looking sexy Shouts out to Brian mp5t for all the help so far The stock msp engine came out of the p5 tonight I was able to pull it out solo in about 5 hours. Could have been less but I hit a few snags Tomorrow I will be pulling everything off of the msp engine that needs to go on the new engine and separating the trans so that way it can be sent out for a rebuild and to have the LSD welded Then we'd I hope to put it back in. And to have it driving and legal by sat We will see if that works put but if it dose it's goig to be one hell of an insane p5

Sooo after a long day of running around
Looks like I'm not going to weld the lsd, I'm going to be conservative in boost untill fall and then save up for an aftermarket LSD But. Other then that the engine from the p5 has been stripped down and the bearing suport tray manifold turbo and extra coolent and oil lines removed. Going ti spend tomorrow hopefully getting the rest of the engine together Then Friday night till Tuesday will be spend on install and reassembly. Really stoked. |

why wouldn't you weld the LSD?
if you don't you might as well have not put in the forged motor, and kept it stock. I agree with a mfactory or quaife but you'll be pulling the motor out for the most part, so might as well get it done while it's all out. also afaik the tranny was off the speed, which you bought from a guy who didn't even know what a speed was, which could mean that car was abused.

Don't get me wrong this was not an easy decision by any means by I have run Out of time and money for the build soo I do t have much of a choice. This will hopefully also keep me from doing anything stupid with a newly built engine

This will ot be a problem.. He plans to build up this summer and do it right.
There are tons of people who ran the Crap LSD unwelded and boosted huge like JOKA on 24/7 Next spring, after becoming used to the power and addressing all the issues that will arise this summer, He can save up for and install an M-FACTORY instead of wasting a shitload of time and money on a Hunk Of Shit LSD... |

I had a stock MSP LSD and was pushing 205whp/220wtq when I had my MSP and it took it. Just dont do stupid shit and it will hold fine. Doing 1st gear burnouts and hard launches really strain the MSP LSD.
I would recommend welding it if its out if its cheap/easy to do I would also say running a MFactory or Quaife would be ballin and take the abuse.
