The vehicle wiring harness was the exact same from the lx to his dx. The door harness were different. Swapped out the door harness' and installed all the power options and everything worked. Except the power locks. The power lock fuse was absent in the fuse holder after that was installed still no workey. No the actuators dont even make a sound. Thats on all 4. the chances of all 4 being completely dead to the pount they dont even make a sound is incredibly unlikely. No wiring has been chacked just wondering if anyone knows of a main difference between a car with and without power locks. Its not the switch since i used my known good switch from my car, also not a remote since 2000's never had remotes and dont have the module under the rear deck lid.

Sorry guys I think my car may have never come with the module because I just checked under my hood and hopefully that's the issue.

Just to make sure can one of you guys please check under your steering column.
There's a black box and two white boxes... One white box is the turn signal module and the second is blank for me I'm assuming that's the lock module. I'm not sure what the black box is for but please let me know if I'm right.

Possible to list all the parts needed from the donor car and/or parts that can be reused from your car?
Was your car prewired (vehicle harness) for the rear doors?

Planning to do this from a 1999 LX to a 2000 SE... Just want to make sure I take everything needed from the donor car before leaving!

Thanks

my protege is 2000 se.

the car comes prewired. to do the conversion you need:

-all four door trims
-all four harnesses from protege that has power options
-both side mirrors
- the locking mechanism from all four doors
- the window regulators and motors (all one piece when removed)
- MAKE SURE you get the door lock control module. (it is a white box under the steering column. ) without this the lock wont work at all.

pure plug and play all wholes are made in the doors so u just have to put it in and bolt it up.

good to go

Great!
So this confirms that nothing from inside the vehicle except the door lock module and fuses is needed and that all four original windows (glass) can be reused!

Thanks a lot!
