Body shop reccomendations?
Need to get some rust estimated and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of good-reputation body shops near Markham/GTA?
Also, I have heard that rust is "get what you pay for". What kind of questions should I ask, or be aware of what steps they will take to fix my rust? What are some no-go's? Thanks. |

For collisions and body work I`ve been happy with Birchmount Collision.

I went to Andrew Webb at Anycar Auto body shop in Thornhill.
19 Laidlaw Boulevard Markham, ON L3P 1W5 (905) 294-4532 Was really happy with his work.

What was the outcome with that? Bodyshops/Automotive is a dirty industry they do alot of underhanded things to make a dollar. Ive seen some really messed up shit with people leaving thier cars. |

My friend initially wanted to go to a shop he was already familiar with, but his insurance company said he had to go to a shop that was on their list of approved collision repair centres. He chose Birchmount Collision because he knew the nephew of the owner and he had mutual friends.
Anyway, the owner did not want to do anything about the break in and apparent inside job. He went to the police and they told him they could do nothing and he should open a second claim, the shop did not want to go through their insurance which is BS as this all happened while the car was under their supervision and on their property. A $7,000 repair ended up being well over $10,000 when everything was said and done because the car went back after the first repair as the leather was ruined, battery harness was hacked and the paint job was horrible. After the 2nd time around, my buddy wasn't satisfied still and he ended up going to his shop of choice in Mississauga after there was problems with the claims officer playing hardball with him not wanting to budge on the extra repair costs. Don't go there. |
