---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the application i am currently researching for is the mazda protege 1.8l from yr 2000.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i am wondering about a big bore 60mm throttle body upgrade and need to figure out if, it is true that it is neccessary to change the intake manifold,...the injectors,
and the elect. fuel injct. chip just to make it work properly....???
i am just lacking the throttle body mod,... so, i also have to mod all of the aforementioned parts?.., just to add a big bore t.b to the air intake in use now,...ending at the intake manifold, before the engine block,....??

although, i know more power will be gained from the full upgrade....

also,... can anyone tell me if i am missing something that might need to be upgraded as well,..of course, in order to complete the intake upgrade, that is...

thanks peeps,... all reply's are appreciated,...!!!
and taken in consideration.

I think you can just put a big bore throttle body on. If not, you may need to bore the intake manifold to the same diameter as the throttle body. I think one of the guys with more BP knowledge than me will pipe up...

Also, EssentialSpeed (see banner in top right corner of your screen) can bore your throttle body for you. Probably cost less than buying a big bore one.
