I walked into JRP today, and ... well these just jumped off the shelf into my hands. I couldn't resist. (kind of tough to read but they're Stewart Warner)
Did anyone ever end up buying a triple DIN gauge holder? I'm not at all interested in the A pillar. Who did you get it from? Do you like it?
Any tips for a smooth installation?
I have an appointment for Monday (and prob Tuesday) early evening at Ultra Autosound (Dundas & Southcreek road) to have a custom moulded DIN cluster built. He estimated about $250 to mould it and build the mounting parts (not including painting). Does this seem reasonable for a custom piece? I can cancel still if anyone has negative feedback on this place. THANKS!

Where are you looking at putting the guages?
Talk with Jeff at Lockdown. He has a custom set up under the lighter area that looks good.

Yeah Proboy i like that setup. Jeff's looks slick. I'm going to get something custom done later on for voltage & amperage down there. I'm going to put these ones just above the head unit.

dood, do some research before you go custom. why make something when it's already available? this one is a universal fit triple gauge panel that fits three 2" or 2 1/16" gauges in a single DIN. $16 USD.

Yeah Kev, there was a big discussion on this on the US board a few weeks ago. $250 sounds steep to me
There's the one's like Chops posted and someone gave me link for an aluminum one, www.42draftdesigns.com
How much were the SW gauges? They look like a good match.
I'm just bought an Autometer Ultralite from a guy in the US, I just need somewhere to mount it. Probably going to so single on the A-pillar with double sided tape for now. I don't want it too permanent.
Here's the link...

Thanks guys. Kris already convinced me last night to either make it myself, and that 250 was too much. That's why I asked! http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif I'll be calling tomorrow to cancel. All of these panels just appear to "sit" over top of the DIN opening. How are they held in? I want something that I can take out if I need to get behind the stereo...
Edit: figured this one out: I'm going to get a pocket without a door and one of the triple panels you guys linked to above, and bond the two together...

Just popped open the boxes - looks like I'll need a Tee for the oil. Does anyone know what thread the stock sender is so I know what Tee to get? Thanks.

No idea what I thought that thread was before, but I didn't even look at it. Thanks. Answers all my Q's.
