My rear passenger side brake light just blew out, and I need it replaced. Should I buy the bulb at Canadian Tire and replace it myself, or should I bring it back to the dealer to have them replace it? The reason I ask, is cuz last time I had a problem with my headlight, and the dealer said that I voided the warranty cuz I changed the headlight bulbs myself.. =O

Thanks.

I would bring it back to the dealer - free bulb.

That is kind of crappy that they would 'void' your warranty for doing it yourself. Which dealership was it?

really, light bulbs are under warrenty. i though they r normal wear and tear. but if they will replace it for free, then by all mean why not, it's not like u r losing anything. but if they r going to charge u far it, then might as well to it urself.

maybe this will be a good time to switch over to led light if it works for our cars.

Ya Raymond (or someone, maybe it was DWM) told us that headlights are warranty items. Why wouldn't brake lights be warranty too?
Should only take them a few minutes too.

it was Downtown Mazda that said I voided the warranty. The guy was kinda a dick. He was like makin me feel stupid cuz I voided the warranty. I guess I'll take my car to Mazda to get my brake light replaced. I'll let u all know if it's covered under warranty or not.
