Thinking of doing a LED conversion for all my signal, brake, and marker bulbs, with stock covers. It's not too expensive to do, though for the turns I know I need a new variable load flasher unit. Bulbs like this (http://www.wixtools.com/html/led_lighting.html) but probably not from this site. Why do I want to do this? I'm convinced it will add 2 horsepower.
Does anyone have experience with doing this and what are some pitfalls to watch out for? (I tried search but it seems to be broken).
Thanks...

I've also considered doing this. If it's going to add 2 whp go for it! http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

When I first got the car I wanted to get rid of the orange turn signals. The front where easy, super white, but the red was tricky.
I tried the LED because I didn't want 'pink' bulbs ike I see on civics.
The problem was, get this, it pluged in fine but the diameter of the LED was more than the diameter of the hole for the rear turn signals.
Plus I didn't know about the variable load flasher, the thing blinked like a strobe light.

well, what about the brake lights, did u switch those to leds as well, and will any led conversion do, or is there specific spec that we need to go with? i am thinking about this as well, but if the signal lights doesn't work out, i think i will just do the brake lights. one last question, looking at the pics from the website, the light seems a little dimmer, is that so, or is it comparible? thx
