Hi,

I'm planning on getting High Intensity low beam light bulb for a 2002 P5. Can anyone reccommend a brand and what wattage is recommeneded?

Thanks, much appreciated!

make sure you get the same wattage as stock (55, i believe). i've got a pair of sylvania silverstar H7's and the light is much more bright and white. some people like Lidtechs (sp?) too...do a search, there was a post active yesterday that had a comparison of the 3 (silverstars, lidtechs, and stock).

Here is the headlight comparison:

I found the silverstars were best for amount of light. The Litechs are an improvement over stock but there isn't as much light.

Thanks for the advice. I just bought the litechs H7s at First Markham place.

Just wondering, what does the 130/100w refer to on the front of the casing?

I know stocks are 55w and that's what it indicates on the back of the casing.

Thanks again

Could that be what its supposed to look like. As in produces light similar to a 100W

That is the claim.

Just make sure that on the back of the package there is a little sticker that says 55W.

Everything else on the package is just advertisement.

Otherwise you may get some melting of the harness and or housing.

yeah... that's just some marketing gimmick.

on my Litechs, "55W" is etched into the metal base. so it's running at 55W and not higher. if you run higher, you can melt your wiring harness.

Yellowmp5, are those lights street legal? My buddy had a pair that looked sort of rainbow colour and he got nailed with a fine.
