Yonge/York Mills Lunch, after work meet ?

To reveive the thread we had going in the sightings section, it turns out there are a bunch of us who work in the Yonge/York Mills/Don Mills area. Now that the holiday rush is over, why don't we hook up a lunch meet at Jack Astor's (Don Mills/Lawrence), like we had discussed ?
Or, as I have a feeling this may turn into a LONG lunch, how about an after work meet.

I like the idea of an after work go for burger (good burgers at Jack's), go for a drive (or a drift if it's snowing), go for drinks type of concept better than lunch. I'm in for sure.

I was just thinking about it this morning too. I was going to start a thread tonight, but you beat me too it.

So here's the scoop,....I just gave in my notice at work this morning. My previous employer made me an offer late last week that I couldn't refuse. So,...I'll still be around for the next 2 weeks, but after that,..I sadly won't be part of the Leslie / York Mills area club anymore http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I'm thinking your "after-work" idea might be a good one. Then we can actually hang out for a bit without having to rush back to work.

How about sometime late this week, or early next week depending on others availability?

I'm fine for the next 2 weeks, and I would prefer after work like Tiwing said. A get together lunch is a minimum 2 hours, and i can't pull that off.
After work, grab some eats, a little drive etc.
I can't do Monday's (class) or Tuesday's (soccer).
Oh yeah, and not this Friday (Jan 23) after work either.

Count me as a maybe, not sure yet. In terms of a lunch in that area, it can be done in 1 hour easy. I work bayview south of lawrence and I head out to york mills/leslie, lawrence/don mills and that includes the 10 minute walk to my car. You just have to choose the locations you go to eat.

For example, Kelsey's has a lunchtime special, food on your table in less than 15 minutes or free. Or there's the fast food like Lick's, Wendy's, Pizza Slut Buffet, Noodle Delight, etc...

I can hook up for lunch easier than dinner...how about next week some of us hook up for lunch too on top of the Thursday dinner.

I think the problem most of us have with a lunch is that it'd be just a quickie. Not really much point in meeting up if we're gonna' be scoffing down food and not even talking.
