You might want to try Scarboro Mazda and talk to Alan Balinsky. There's a 2% discount on vehicle purchase. Don't forget to mention that you are from Toprotege.

If this helps...I paid $25,250 for Auto, A/C and Moon Roof at Scaboro Mazda...(Scotch Guard and Paint protection included)...Don Lee is who I dealt with...

And that 2% will come in Handy as well...I would suggest the New Sportamatic...

Hmmm, how much would've been without the Scotch Guard and Paint Protection?

I have a friend who's interested on buying a protege5 also. Just trying to find a price quote with only moonroof, a/c, and auto.

Best bet would be to talk to Al Balinsky from Scarboro Mazda...he's a good friend of mine and would also explain where my car was purchased.

I think it's in the area of $22....something, Al's number is 416-752-0970 Just to help you out!

I forget the cdn website, but everyone knows the starting sticker of $19,850 or so and the listing of the major options of tranny, sunroof, a/c should follow.

Be wise and forget the scotch crap. Buy a damn can from Walmart and spray yourself for under 10$ dollars. It is no magical formula. Don't get upsold on crap like permashine and paint protectant.

Negotiate good stuff like a, wheel locks, bra, hood deflector, up graded muffler, ventvisors and MOST OF ALL SOME WINTER STEELIE RIMS AND TIRES PERHAPS. If I could do this s#$@ all over again.

Mine was $21.135 before taxes.

With taxes, all additional charges in a grad rebate it came to $24600 (grad rebate is approx 600 before taxes)

If you can get the price below $21,000 consider that a very good deal. I am not sure what the stock is like now but you should be able to get an amazing deal if they still have 2002 models. Remember go at the end of the day and end of the month to get more bargaining power.

I got the freight and PDI off plus my trade value bumped up a bit from what they we're offering. I think overall I got 1500 off the sticker so I threw in the rust/sound package.

hm at the place i work (Oakville Mazda) we are giving club members 4% over invoice.  And no u don't have to take any rust pkg, or anything u don't want.

Keep in mind the P-5 has a very small mark up this year..  Most of the time dealers will say they give u a huge discount.. but do they?? u got admin and all the other fees(remeber they all have to pay a lot pack too..)

Oh ya i just remember.. There are no 02 auto's left they were sold out two months ago... So if ur looking for an auto you have to go with an 03.. And don't get ur hopes too high up for a super deal.. cus they only been out for a month and a bit more... There isn't alot of them around...

It is ture that if u go at the end of month u have more dealing power.. but u have to know if ur at a dealer that sells 100 cars a month or 10 car a month.. cus if u went in to the 100 car a month dealer.. they just throw u out the door..if u low ball them, lower then they low ball there customers....

The '02 base price was $19,895 + $1000 for auto, $1000 for a/c and $600 for sunroof.
The '03 base price increased by $300 (not bad considering the upgrades/changes) and the sportmatic auto (WAY better) increased by $300.
So the MSRP for all 3 options (ie. loaded) on an '03  is $23,095 if my math is correct. Then add the $100 air tax, $75 gas tax, more and more taxes and the price is...
CarDemon is right, although it sounds like you already made the deal. Bargain for decent accessories like wheel locks, cargo net, tint (worked for me), cassette player or roof rack if you're interested, etc. Scotch Gard and paint finishes are something you can pick up cheap @ Crappy Tire.
If you wanted an '02 auto, you may have been able to get one in KW for 0.9% financing (36 mos). I"m happy with 2.9% (36 mos) on the '03 - was paying 5.9% on my '02 for 60 mos.
