Well, This winter I have decided to just fix up a few things on my Pro, and save up til the spring time. So....I have a nice size dent in my passenger side rocker panel, which I hope my buddy can fix if he ever finds time. A few other minor dents in my doors from idiots that dont care for your car nor their car when they park beside and slam their door into yours, which I'm not too sure what to do with yet....but worst of all about 1 1/2 years ago(just after I got my car) me and my ex where driving down the 401 at maybe 150km's, she throws her smoke out the window and sure enough it comes back in the window, into the back seat burning 3 of my shirts, one of hers and like 5 holes in my back seat, still have yet to get them fixed....

Anyways, i'll cut this story short and get straight to the point...

Was just wondering of any good upholstry place, that would either repair the burnholes, or replace the material?

Also, if I could get your opinions on what to do about this. My car is leased and I dont really want to take it back to the dealer looking like this.

should I:
a) Just somehow get someone to repair it(cut material, stich...do whatever....

b) Replace the whole back seat or back seat cover...

c)buy seat covers? cheaper, and original...but the burns are still there.

d) Custom Interior....

I phoned a few places and the best I got was something like 120 flat rate + 40 a panel to replace, and I have like 4 or 5 panels to replace.

other than that I got like 60.00 to repair a burn...

any other suggestions would be helpful.....

Hey Chris where did you get the good quotes on repairing the cigarette holes in the back seat - one of my buddies did the same and put one hole in my back seat - i just dont know where to look for who to do it

If you have places, location and phone numbers with what price they gave you id really be appreciative if you could post it up

As far as a custom interior, you can go to ANY RV/Marine upholstering shop and they'll do it for you.
A shop here in Woodstock will do new carpet (any colour), recarpet the parcel bench (where your 6x9's sit), front buckets in two-tone vynal (ex. white with blue inserts) and rear bench in two-tone for $1500 tax inc. They charge about $150 to do all 4 door inserts.
As far as the rest of your interior pannels (dash, etc) my buddy does that proffessionally. Just wait till you see mine. Itll knock your socks off!!!

Kurt,
I believe it was Apple Auto Glass that quoted me the 120 flat +40 per panel(its been almost a year since I was checking these prices out). The 40 dollar one, is from someone that I know that works at the Toyota dealership in Brampton. Im not too sure if 40.00 is to replace or just repair cause I couldnt believe it when he told me.

Anyways, I did quite a bit of searching at the time, and I was getting quite a range of prices...

The thing that sucks is that the back seat(and fronts) are small panels that are stiched together, that they have to unstich, get the same material, cut the right size and stich it back in again....so now most places wanted to charge me for materials, time, and how many panels they have to do.

I'll start looking around again for some places(my back seat is so ugly to look at)....if you find anything worth while and cheap can you please post it up here for me aswell? http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif

MazdaSpeed,
Well the fronts have a few small burns, but not noticable so I dont really care....so ya, all im really looking for is the back seat .

What color are they and is it the p5 factory seat covers? I have a 2000LX sedan, and the interior is one tone grey.

I would appreciate it if you can ask him how much he wants for them.

My exact car is the 2000 LX w/touring(sunroof/moonroof, spoiler, alloy rims) 1.8L with one tone grey cloth interior....dont remember them giving me the option of leather.

As far as how much I will pay....I dont even know what they start at....I know dealers are expensive, but just ask him what the cheapest is he is willing to part with.
