I just checked out the new issue of Super Street (for the Drifting articles !! ) and saw a biiig ad on page 5.

Gram Lights "Light Weight Concept" 57 Series http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

There are actually three models of them: 57F 57C 57PRO.
All the sizes are listed in the ad but I will list the ones that will fit our cars (5-bolt pattern .. they do make 4-bolt for you older Protege owners but I don't know the offsets needed for your cars):

57F -- 17x7.5 +48 offset
57C -- 16x7.0 +46 offset
17x7.5 +40 offset only for 5-bolt (these must be the only ones JRP knew about last month) - these don't fit in 17's but will in 16's.
57PRO -- 17x7.0 +48 offset these should be perfect for you extrememly lowered guys .. *pokes Ed*

The 57PRO spokes are chunkier than the other 57-series ..
Try these websites for more info:

http://www.mackinindustries.com/

wikked!

EDIT:
Judging by the prices on the Rays website, the F stands for "forged" while C would be "cast" wheels. Not sure which the PRO model is.

I think all the Gram lights come in a 48 offset, but try getting some in Canada, The guys at JRP said that there were not any in the US special Delivery!!! So, if you can work it!! I hope that they see the market for it.

If they're advertised in Super Street they have to be available here .. they woudn't be that stupid would they?

What the fuck is wrong with these shops that won't order in product for a sure sale ????????

me: "Hey Mr. Salesman, I've done all your work for you and know exactly the product I would like to buy. It says on your sign that you sell this product..."
them: "Sorry we don't have those in stock right now. And they're not even in the USA so good luck getting them!"
me: "But aren't you the Canadian importer/distributor for this manufacturer?"
them: "ummm..... " (goes on smoke break...)

aaarrrgh

Actually ... FYI ... Mackin Industries is the main distributor for Rays Wheels and they are headquartered in the USA so JRP only has to call down to the US to get order the product.

Maybe these guys will be more helpful:

You think so? The 57C's are actually pretty cheap. The F's are much more expensive cuz forged = $$$.
I saw them listed for something like $320 USD per wheel.
The straight conversion from the Rays site goes like this:

57PRO 18x7.5 = 53,000 Yen = 413 USD or 642 CAD
-- you're right they're expensive. 17" would be cheaper though, but they must be forged for that price http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif (couldn't find a price for the 17" PROs).

57C 17x7.5 = 51,000 Yen = 397 USD or 618 CAD
-- again expensive like the PROs .. because they're forged.

57C 16x7.0 = 24,000 Yen = 210 USD or 327 CAD
-- these are well priced. JRP says they're $400 for the 17's but 16's should be cheaper.

And you can get them in gunmetal if you want.

What kinda info did you guys find about the Rota wheels?

If I had the cash I would get thease baby's Volk Racing SE37K in bronze. http://www.upgrademotoring.com/wheels/se37k.htm
The place that gave me my bug deflector had a set that they ordered for some guy that never came back.
He was asking $800 a rim. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif
BTW they were 17x7.5 +48 and only weighed 16lb. Perfect fit.

I quickly ran to the corner store and played a lottery ticket. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
