I just purchased an antenna for my tv tuner and noticed something. If I were to purchase directly through their site, I would be charged 7%gst. But if I purchased through ebay I wasn't. So purchase through ebay and you'll save the gst.

I don't know about that,...most ebay stores charge you the tax if you live in the same Province / State as the store.

If you're ordering from the US, you don't get charged their taxes and vice versa. But if this mp3 store is in Ontario, I'm pretty sure you'd get hit with both taxes regardless of whether you order from their website or ebay.

I've ordered 3 times from them through ebay and never been charged tax, on their website it asks you to add 7% to the total.

That's weird. I wonder how they get around it. My bad I guess.

adam, my buddy is going to place that order through them for the tv and dvd/cd/mp3 player combo drive, so he should place it through ebay if that package is offered as an auction, if not he is SOL right?
