Possible MSN virus?

Welp I've gotten a lot of these. If someone on your msn list says's

"LOL!! Check this out " followed by a file named "Hello-Kitty.exe" or anything ".exe" don't recieve it. It's most likely a worm of some sort and it's starting to spread fast.

My anti-virus found a few things on one that i've recieved by accident. Luckily it ws rid of before damage was done.

Just tonight I received a broadcast message like when MSN announces server maintenance to check out a site SimplyEasy.com or some other get rich quick bullload of crap. It showed my IP instead of my name. Since Messenger, I believe, relays all messages to main com servers to send messages instead of peer to peer like ICQ, MSN servers must have had their security compromised. It's a Microsoft product, par for the course.
