Congrats Nole on the custom body mod on your car !! Fabrication, paint/clear coating & install were great and professional-looking. I'm sure everybody who saw your car at the Brullen meet were impressed. Accomplishments like what you did are always worth mentioning and you must be proud of your G3 sedan... http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Yeah it looks sweet. Kinda like a Legacy GT but smaller Protegé-size http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif Definitely good work.

Thank-you kindly. It was great to see people out again and of course new faces too. I'll try heading out to the scrap yard this week and see what I can find. I have posted some pictures at 'www.protegeclub.com' (exterior / interior forum), check it out.

Mike, based on Nole's response, I think he's going to make you one (going to scrapyard).. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

i hope so!
nole, even if you can find me the parts, but don't want to shape them, i'll attempt to do them myself.
as for the painting/clearcoating, i'll find somebody to do that as well if you can't get your neighbour to do it.
thanks alot!

btw, which junkyard do you go to? and how do they charge you for what you take, etc... ?

I will head out on a sunny day, but I won't make any promises. I'll try to look for corner parts and maybe side skirts too. Payment for parts; usually scrap pieces are cash deal ranges from $5.00 and up depending on items; and usually motorized parts require receipts and taxes for return purposes. The scrap yard I usually go to is called 'MIKES' located at hwy. 53 & hwy. 20 (south of Stoney Creek).

hmm... MIKES eh?
haha... maybe the owner will give me a nice discount.
hey nole, message me before you go, maybe i can come with you to check out what's "new" at the junk yard.

I guess if it's worth a drive to Acton, then it's worth a drive to Stoney Creek, hehe. Sure I'll message you, but can you make it on week-day afternoons? Btw, it ain't a pretty place, it's dirty, oily, and a lot of broken stuff. If you can handle that, then you can go on for few days without showers (j/k).

yeah
i'm free during weekdays...
just gimme a day or two notice before you go, but i'm pretty flexible anyways.
dirty, oily and full of used car parts? my kind of place hahah... i'll remember to bring some gloves.

If it was oily, dirty, and full of girls to be used I would have come too. I'd also bring some gloves, that is 'love gloves', cause a packaged weiner makes sex cleaner.

Mike good luck finding some junk to put on your new car http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Hmmm, I don't know if there are full of girls there, but I can asure you that there are rusty, dirty, oily, tail pipes there, just waiting to be fitted (j/k).    http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif

Anyhow, on the serious side, this week won't be good, I just found out, we have outside visitors I have to pick up from the airport (3 days in a row).  It's for a wedding for this Saturday.  Let's play it by ear for now.

Hey, thanks Alex. Hope to see some of your mods in the next meet.

I've also received Craig Lundrigan's new Protege pictures, they are so huge, I have to scroll up and down and side ways just to view them. Nice ride, ahe.
