Yup, it's me alright.

130hp, you can pm me if you want.
Maybe we should start up a York chapter of the club. I've seen quite a few P5's and sedans hanging around York.

I used to work at York, at the radio station in the student center...they still playing dominos in the food court there? I always loved the hot 'whored up' gina's at York

I live 50 meters from Mike
Silver P5 looks stock except for headlights.
I finished an MBA at Schulich, Mike

I wanted to get a York Chapter going.
The construction is killing me but there is still a shitload of room on other parking lots. I would suggest a meet on friday by the new Parking STructure. There is a Tim Horton's there.

Whadya say?

BTW there is like 50 P5's at york I see several every day

yeah I know but maybe I will win it and then it will stay in passy. If not you can live through mine. If you still want to do some mods and test them (not to harshly) I submit my mazda to you. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif : http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif

we don't test "harshly" - we call it enthuisastically. seriously though i've been testing cars for over three years now and haven't had anything break yet from acceleration, braking or laping use. we really ran the P5 hard last thursday and it brought us all the way home again. i seriously don't know how people are managing to break trannies...

Did you get better times this time around than the ones in your article?

That's a lot...there's only about 8 P5s at UT Scarborough campus.

with about $4000 worth of mazdaspeed coil overs, sway bars, bushings and such the car ran a remarkable...1 second slower! over 5 laps my times range about 43 seconds so 1 second diff isn't really significant. what is is that it isn't any quicker than it was with plain old lowering springs.

on a short smooth track the coil overs and associated tuning didn't offer up any more grip. the car is more neutral and reacts somewhat to modeulating the throttle mid cornere whereas before it was just an understeering dog.

we are going to try some bridgestone potenza s03s to see if they will improve turn-in bite.

over time the coil overs will stand up better and if you were actually racing they would definitely be worth it from a durability and tuneability perspective.

next step is to add speed via POWER.

Well as you may have seen Spoolin Turbo stage 1 US$2600
I am sure mazda can handle it.

BTW Mike I was thinking that I would probably not mind sticking a wheels.ca sticker on my car. See if there is any promo budgets for people and advertise the magazine on nicely modded cars (not mine yet) that may spark interest in younger readers. Remember how enthusiastic Bart was (Acura 1.6 EL in passy) about reading a canadian publication.
Let me know.

Hey Guys, I usually read the boards on protegeclub.com but finally came over here, never really bothered to post, maybe i should now !
Anyways, I go to school at York too commuting from brampton, and have also seen tons of P5's around, including that blue P5 in 5A

I drive a white P5, pretty stock except for a budget system to the stock head unit, stop me if you see me, i think i'm the only White P5 at york, actually white P5s are pretty rare to begin with, soo give me a shout if you see me, i park in lot 3,4, or 5 depending on where my class that day is, lol

i'd be up for meeting you guys as lizard suggested,

Later,

Alex
