I am promoting this event more out of social conscience and perhaps as a more distinguished and trusted TPC Member for credibility.

Do any of you TPC guys and girls know of any less fortunate who may be in need of groceries and toys for their children this up coming Holiday Season?

You don't have to be living on the street or a bum, but you could be the ordinary lower to upper middleclass person who is going through hard times. You could be a Post-Secondary College or University Student that is feeling the pinch.

PLACE: Queensway Cathedral 1536 The Queensway between Kipling and #427 (across from IKEA) Toronto.

WHAT: OPERATION CHRISTMAS SPIRIT(FREE FOOD!!http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

WHEN: SATURDAY DECEMBER 6TH 11:AM-3-PM

CALL: 416 255 0141 between 9:am-4pm to obtain a registration number to guarantee your reserved bag of FREE groceries and toys for your children on that day.

This campaign going on at my church has miraculously resourced donations from corporate toy companies, clothing manufacturers, grocery stores, Computer Manufacturers and 300+ volunteers that day including myself to help in distributing these items out in an orderly fashion with NO STRINGS ATTACHED!!!

Our church was surprised at the corporate community as the expected amount of giving has exponentially risen to that we will be having a tractor trailer crossing the U.S./CANADIAN BORDER today along with some local refigerated tractor trailer loads of food to be set up to store the supplies until this Saturday.

Thee estimated count of groceries bags to be distributed is at 8,000 families, and our church's limited personelle has only registered 2,000 BY telephone so far.

This is NO GIMMICK and no one will bash you over the head with a Bible and convert you. You don't have to be affiliated with any religion or culture at all.

You telephone calls to the church will be anonymous.
Feel free to PM me any questions. I will be volunteering this Saturday after work to bag groceries and do Parking Lot duty.

How can you register with an anonymous call?

BTW, I think this is GREAT.

Ooops, oxymoron eh!!! I should have said confidential.
Upon further clarification.
I should say that the only private info that will be given is your first and last name, the number of children and their specific genders. You cannot be traced.

There will be no email, mail address or telephone numbers to follow-up on by the church. IT IS NOT A RECRUITING CAMPAIGN.

The info will be not broadcasted on a screen but used for the Church registration numbers given to each person as confirmation to who will be picking up the grocerybag and turkey.

Also, to get the childrens toys they need to actually see the children on the day of the event. There will be no I.D. check too.

The organizers do recognize that a small percentage of people will needlessly take advantage of this, but who are we to know anyways. We don't care.

I too know of a friend of a friend that knows Bob Armstrong and his distant cousin C-o-o-t-e-r that needs some groceries and toys, but I can't pick it up. I need someone to register using a name and pick it up for me.

On a lighter side, I don't expect to see a convoy of Toronto Protege's Line up on one side of the parking lot and join the line-up of people. A few Sr. Pastors know my affiliation.

If anyone is guaranteed to be in the area, I could use your help by picking up a free bag of groceries. I have a disadvantaged friend of a friend but since I'm working it as a volunteer, they would frown on me taking it to my car or seeing me do it. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

The Head Pastor was on CFRB 1010AM last night on the Michael Coren show and they now have more corporate donations and money.

There is groceries available for over 10,000 people.
PLEASE LET SOMEONE LESS FORTUNATE CALL, ESPECIALLY THE WORKING CLASS POOR.

It warms my heart to know that there are still good people out there.
