Ok, heres the deal, i have two approx 7 inch screens in my car. Just wondering what i can do to protect them over the winter months, when it gets cold im assuming the Liquid crystal will freeze? am i right in assuming this? what can i do to prevent this? Should i remove it for the winter and colder months? Any suggestions? I don't want them to break! or freeze.

I've never thought of that!
I will try to find out some information about the operating temperature of the screens. I remember reading somewhere that they are good until -20C.
I'll get back to you on that one.

i have the digital manual for my pioneer unit. i took a screen shot. it should be ok for storage in the winter. if it freezes, i'll go to pioneer and demand a new one cuz it clearly states that it's good until -40 C ! i wouldn't mind getting an even newer one... hehe.... http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

The liquid crystal should not freeze, those temperature ranges are only for proper operation of all the electronics, you will find those reading on all sorts of electronics.
I don't think you guys have to worry about it just make sure that you turn them off before turning off you car, and turn them back on only after the car is warmed up.

Not to knock having screens in your ride (I think they look cool at hell), but I hope everyone bought themselves big screen HDTV's before they splurged on these tiny screens for your ride.
Aren't these thing like $1500 ea! http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif

At first I thought you meant a fear of heights.
