Lately when I fill up with gas my fuel gauge seems to stay below a quarter until I have been driving around for like 20 minutes or so. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem... At first I was thinking the float in the tank may be sticking but I couldn't come up with a reason why... So I put my second cluster in and it did the same thing.. so that ruled out the aspect of the gauge being messed up.. I don't really want to take my car to the dealership because i have been F**ked over so many times there, so any suggestions would be great... http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

what brand of gas are you using? it's known that Shell gas causes fuel gauge malfunctions... but this was predominantly in daimler-chrysler vehicles. this happened to my mom's benz, but she got it fixed under warranty.

I run my tank until the low fuel light comes on quite frequently.
I've never had gauge issues, but I've really only put sunoco or petro canada in.

i aswell run my car frequently with low fuel. that sounds more of a sensor problem then anything else.

this was the first time I have let my tank go until the gas light came on. Usually i fill up just under a quarter. Most often i use sunoco gas so I don't think that it would be an actual gas person. I am taking my car to my mechanic tomorrow so i'll find out whut is wrong then i guess. Yo simon hope ur car is okay...

turns out it was some relay or transmitter that hooks up to the gauge... cheap cheap... no worries!!!
