I am looking to install some aftermarket bulbs and it seems to me that the best bang for my buck is going to be Eurolite H7 Super Plasma. I do have a question most people posting have P5 I was wondering if anyone with a 2000 protege have done the swap and seen a difference. Also I guess a pacific mall trip will be in order but is there just one size or will i need to make sure I get the right H7 for a 2000 protege?

actually i just put on the super plasma's yesterday. To be honest i wouldn't buy 'em again. The light output is decent, but it's in no hell purplish! I'd say they're more pinkish-white...for the dollar you should go to first markham place and pick up Litech super whites for roughly $25. It comes with 1 year warranty...i have them for my fogs and they're really white and super bright. Best bang for the buck. Reason why i have the super plasma was to fulfill my curiousity about 'purple' bulbs.

I guess it'll be a nice saturday drive. I live around eglington + 403. I take it it's a standard bulb then again they'll be able to help me when i get there.

if you mean eglinton & 403 in mississauga, then you can just go to erin mills town centre. there's a kiosk store called car decor who sells the Litech as well...for $25/pair with the 1 year warranty on it.

2000 protege lx has the single headlight units for both hi and low beams... so you're running the H4 bulbs.

Bought the Litech Super Plasma Xenon Bulbs. And I must say am very impressed. Now to see how long they last, but for $25 and 1 year warrenty sould be no problem.

I got the Eurolite H7 before too, and boy was I owned. I should have realized that the purple coating on them was too light to change light colour. Hence, I got expensive stock bulbs.
The stock bulbs are actually very good, they're made by Osram in Germany. I'm running Sylvania Silverstars H7 now, nice white light, not as white as aftermarket blue coated bulbs, but with much better light output, better than stock.
The H7 Silverstars are the only ones that are made in Germany. Other bulbs such as the 900X and other HX are made in the USA. And unlike the other bulbs, the H7 has a much more lighter coating on them, which results is better light output as less light is filtered away. The only thing that may suffer is that it may not be as white as other Silverstars which have more coating. But since no one will mistaken halogen for HID anyways, I rather have more light on the road.
They seem to be made by Osram instead of Sylvania too, but I am more than happy with them compared to blue headlight bulbs, I used three years back.
