Tint Questions

Hi all,

Getting my tint done this friday at FX...... just got a few questions first (this is my first tint ever).

Do I have to clean the inside of the windows first? How long does it take to complete the job? Is it better for them to take the inside of the doors off? Any drawbacks of them leaving the door on?

Also, dumb question.... do people get the driver/passenger windows, back seat windows, and rear window done all at the same %? What % would be recommended if I want a decent tint, but not too dark?

Any special tint I should ask for @ FX? Any I should avoid? I'm not sure what they offer as choices.

Tax, Sondra, Brent and myself will be there in full force on Friday. The guys at FX are really helpful and they will take care of all your questions. That Wayne guy is pretty knowledgeable about it (well it's his job after all).

I've heard good things about FX.... they are professionals and thus know what to do. i'm sure they have a special cleaning solution that will clean the window and then apply the tinting film. I've heard that some places take the door panels off to get access to the entire window.... not sure about that one though. Also, most places have samples of tinting film that show the differences between them, so ask them and they'll show you. Get metallic tints... they have lifetime guarantees on them and don't fade like other tints.

joe, you'll probably see brent there too... he's going to FX on friday as well.

Nice, would be cool to see other P5's there too gettin' it done. I'm gonna be there @ 10am (i guess until about 1-2pm)
