I did a quick search and counldn't find anything on this and I'm not sure if it's been asked befire but...

1. Does anyone have a set of foglights for the P5 that they might want to sell? I might be looking for a set

2. Is there a aftermarket foglight that will be a direct fit/replacement for the stock ones on a P5?

Thank!

I have a set, as you can see I took mine out.  One has a cracked lense, they both have the screws on the back rusted out and the heads stripped off.

Wanna buy them?

I've been looking around, and crappie tire has a set of really small round fogs, that I was going to try and set way back in the holes.

If you want a direct replacement and keep the big fogs look, I'm sure you could find round fogs of the same diamiter somewhere.

Thanks Myk. Yeah I will consider your offer. I was also looking into an aftermarket set because I think this might actually be cheaper then buying the stock ones again. But I want a set that will be a direct fit into the existing hole and mounting hardware already existing.

Yeah, I would prefer an aftermaket set, either big or small. It should be easy to bolt in a set from behind the openings.

whats wrong with the PIAAs that are a direct replacement aside from the rear bolt which is just too short. Replacment nolt is probably under $1

Yeah, one lense is crack and like I mentione, the other problem is that the rear srews holding the lenses on are so rusted out, that the heads turned to dust when I gave them the slightest twist.

They will need to be drilled out and changed with stainless and re-tapped.

The good news is right before it cracked I put in brand new Hyperwhites, looks cool with Xenon stlye headlights. I see a lot of Proteges with the headlights done, but not the fogs.

I don;t know about selling them. There pretty expensive from the factory.

$100 both lights with factory and xenon bulbs.

Hey Cruisin. The PIAA direct replacements, same diamiter? Got a part number?

Thanks for the information guys. Mark, do know where I can get the PIAA's and about how much they would be? If it's reasonable, I might install those instead of getting another stock foglight.

I am sure any store that sells PIAA can order them try PI they always seem to have lots of stuff in stock. Or you might wanna try Metro/Pirana. Any store should be able to get them though.

Performance Improvements does.

PIAA is expensive though. Wouldn't want a stone to hit these suckers. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif

Fizzmeister.

I have a cracked foglight lens on the driver's side. Anyone have recommendations in terms of going the stock lens replacement route, or a possible aftermarket lens route?

The housing is fine, and the stock lens works and looks fine for me, but I'm interested in other lens options (and no, I'm not looking at putting in MSP covers or something like that, I like the look of working fogs). The bulbs (Eurolites from Myk) are still good. I like the look of the Eurolite bulbs from a luminance perspective, but if there are different lens options for the same bulb (no, don't want to go HID either) that is what I am thinking of...

Oh look, I even found the how to!

40 years? I was thinking it was more like 20, on account of standing in front of all those sets of HIDs on people's cars :D

The stock fogs suck, but you need them. If it weren't for the look, I would have the deletes. Mazda bommed when designing these fogs due to the fact that the two small screws holding the assembly together sieze, resulting in stripped or broken heads. The price is not the best either.
