I've been having intermitent problems with my drivers headlight. It would occationally not come on, I open the hood, give the harness a wiggle and it would come on.
The other day I noticed the headlight was a bit dimmer than the other. I checked the harness, and noticed it was pretty hot. I disconnected it and one of the two prongs in the harness was all black and melted.
WTF
Any ideas.

you must be using (or have used) higher wattage bulbs then. Same thing happened to my car, with the left headlight harness burnt and melted the black harness assembly piece a bit. I am waiting for westowne mazda to call me when the replacement part is in.

dont use aftermarket bulbs, its not worth it especially if this problem could happen again in the future

I had HID bulbs before, but not for a while now.
So any problem that they made before is what is effecting it now?
I guess I should just replce the harness.
Diddy, whats the $ on a new harness?
Thanks guys.
(Now if I can figure out whats wrong with my DVDplayer at home, I'd be happy)

Myk,
it's covered under warranty (as long as they feel it's due to stock spec defect).
