This was my first cruise with the ToProtege.com club and it was amazing. The twisties in Minden are awesome. The car was almost lifting off the ground at some places. I got 625 km out of my tank on this trip.....Big thank you http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif for letting us stay at the house.
Hope next time there will be even more Proteges.

Well I finally got home at 11:30, Wanted to thank Nick and his family for letting us invade there home for the evening. The drive was sweet, it's such a beautiful area up there. The only let down was the only thing we couldn't control-the weather. It was nice to put some more faces to names too. I have to agree with brennen, raf is a crazy ass driver, and you gotta love the way Mike was poppin in and out of the lanes.

Yah that was a great day. Thanks to Nick and Kelly for their hospitality. I'm glad I didn't let the weather keep me at home. Yes, there was some wet driving, but we had some nice sunny breaks too. The fall colours were beautiful. In a few more weeks they will be vibrant.
What was the name of that first road you took us on? That roller coaster through the forest. That road was amazing! I wouldda been happy to drive back and forth on that road all day!

Over all good day with the group No cops, and we stayed together most of the time. Brock Lesner's front lip looks sweet.

Well, let's just say that I started to dose off with my eyes open on the road at around 7:00pm, following the 1st Westsiders home as some gravel sounds and twitching from the steering wheel spinner got me razzed.

Then the overtaking of dropping to 3rd gear all the way to 120km/hr gave me a rush that kept me awake. FRS are a must, even the cheap non-sub channel ones. It is so convienient on a cruise and keeps us entertained.

I met some wonderful people and faces that I would like to see again. I didn't get around to talking one on one, but definitely would like to meet up again.

That first twisty road was amazing and I went to sleep dreaming about it. I think most of us kept a fair sized distance to each other and I was near the 1st half of the spirited driving pack. I was amazed at the long stretch of smooth winding roads. Around here there are so many intersections and stops.

I may have to brave it in the winter up there and stud my snow tires too. I have holidays in November, Logan and Nick!!!

OH, the cheesecake and the ribs? Nuff said. I want those in my last dying hours or on deathrow as my last meal. Macklum did it to perfection with the ribs and Logan's cake so amazing, I was too embarrassed to ask for a long glass of cold milk and a comforter to snuggle up in.

It is events like these that I feel very honoured, proud ,loved and still have faith in the human race that good people still abound. It feels like an AMWAY convention back in the mid 80's.

Strangers I trust, admire and share warmth for. Some of our on-line antics are just that, and I hope I don't really offend anyone as I try to be the Ghetto joker and simple happy-go-luck guy, except for Bob Armstrong the mad copper.

I just wish some of us would watch our remarks from time to time.

Anyways, I tend to write too much as noted by my peers so I'll sign off.

P.S. hats off to those extreme east location eastsiders that have made the treks out to the GTA events, I have a new found respect for the distance you travel.

And hats off to Rob(Codz) and Binny! Travelling from Windsor to Minden and Back again. My spine felt like I endured a pile driver, I need a chiropractor to decompress these discs. We should have a back rub and tailbone specialist at every meet where long distances are traveled.
Can't wait for the TPC Christmas Dinner!!!! [/QUOTE]<span id='postcolor'>

Hey there guys, sorry I started the additional thread. I guess the fatigue was kicking in and I couldn't find the wrap up thread, so I created my own.

Very well summed up and fun! I am making some mental notes to articulate and post in the future about these kinds of events and cruises with regards to driving etiquette, spirited driving, group driving tactics etc.

I know this may sound crazy, but you guys know me as Michael Bryant in person, CARDEMON is the spirited driver that comes out on these occasions and is portrayed in the cornering, safe NASCAResque passing style and promotes TPC Group Squadron Togetherness while driving.

I hope that my following distance for the spirited part of the drive behind Codz(Rob) and Tax(Mark) mostly was decent. I was counting up to 2 and 1/2 mississippi's. Plus the prementioned tapping of the brakes for alertness and our well known trust, looking way ahead and driving style make me confident for most guys.

RAPHAEL!!!, you worry me when in my rear-view I can see your car behind me, but not your head lights; which are literally on my bumper. The adrenaline rush of not getting left behind in the boonies kept me up with the pack yet still out of the rock spitback range was my guide.

All-in-all a classic TPC moment in time.Original Driving Etiquette Thread (http://msg.toprotege.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=15;t=6100;st=0)
