i got a pair of eurolite super plasma H7 bulbs (55w) and swapped out my low beams.  the light colour is nice (white, no blue.. though a blue tint would've been nice).. however they don't project far at all.. i dunno.. it seems as if all the light is bein projected down.  i was behind another car and the light wasn't even illuminating his back plate (more light below it i guess).. tey seem to be in flush with the light housing by looking through the front.  is it the bulbs doin this?  i think i'm gonna have to go back to stock or try some others..

well... if you park on a level surface infront of a wall, you can see the beam pattern. if it looks level to you, then it's probably in the same position as your stock bulbs. the problem with aftermarket bulbs is that the cheaper bulbs have a blue tint which allows more blue light to pass and slightly filtering out other colours. We perceive this radiation as colors ranging from red (longer wavelengths; ~ 700 nanometers) to violet (shorter wavelengths; ~400 nanometers.) since the blue tint of the glass slightly filters above ~500 nanometers, it causes a major problem because the light that it is filtering out is useful light. the H7 has the highest rating of lumens of most other H class bulbs. if you have noticed oncoming P5's with stock bulbs, they are noticeably brighter than surrounding cars. Also, on wet surfaces at night, you will notice that some aftermarket bulbs will not light up the ground as well as you want it to. if you do want more light on the ground, aim your headlights slightly down (not too much though b/c you decrease the distance at which your headlights shine). to counter these problems, stick with your stock bulbs, or invest in a proper fitting, proper D2R-bulb HID kit.

I've used eurolites before in my car. The light intensity was OK, but like you said, aren't the brightest. However, judging from your description, it could simply be a problem of adjusting the bulbs to make sure it's positioned properly. Because there's no way thta the low beams can't even illuminate the license plate of the car ahead of you.

you probably just need to adjust or aim your headlights. there's a bronze coloured bolt on the back of the headlight housing. use an allen key or socket wrench to turn it. this will adjust the vertical aim of the headlight.

well depending on where u live, we can meet up and i can check the aiming/positioning of the bulbs for u. And with regards to the bulb colour, blue is nice to look at (at first). However, remember that bulbs that emit blue light is illegal. So you're better off with super white bulbs instead.

If you haven't been messing with the adjustment screw at the back of the headlight housing then you shouldn't need to re-adjust the angle. One thing you will notice with the Eurolites is that they pick up anything relfective really well.

they're not even lighting up streetsigns as i drive down a street because all the light is directed on the road in front of my car .. and it only projects about 5 or 6 feet in front of it. something's definately misaligned. I didn't get a chance to look yesterday but i'll take a look today.

red-i, ya i live kinda close to erin mills town centre. If you ever drop by that area gimmi a shout 416-617-2525. I can gladly take a look at the bulbs for u. I've had similar problem the first time i switched bulbs from stock, that one bulb seemed to be aiming different than the other.
