I have a 2003 Protege 5 i was trying to get rid of my DRL so i read something about cutting the Black / yellow strip wire and now i tried to turn my car on and nothing so i hooked them back together. Is there any easy way to get rid of my DRL thats all i want . Thanks any info would help!

Quick way is to ground the wire in the park brake, but that will cause the red light to stay on all the time...

there is a how-to on here or M247 for it.i think your right about puling the black/yellow wire out of the drl module. tape it up so it doesnt ground on anything. ive had mine done for 2 years now and never any problem.

So what do i do pull it right out if the plug its self and not cut it?

i remember cutting mine. it was black with a yellow stripe and it worked. since then had no issues with it. http://www.toprotege.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37352
