Fall Tour and BBQ

There was a spring meet that was almost planned but interest faded, now Maklum and I and maybe Logan are trying to get something going to get all you protege drivers out of the city for some fun country twisties.

Is there any interest in heading up to the Kawartha/Haliburton Highlands....we have a great route planned, Mak posted it a long time ago but I know he has it

We could take my rally and end it with the feast you wanted to put together in Minden...
I think this could be lots of fun!

I had a lot of positive feedback from my rally thread a few weeks ago.
This could happen you know.
I could pick a route starting from somewhere near toronto... drive around most of the day (4 hours maybe???) stop and eat food in Minden!

Logan Macklum and I met up today and we were thinking of Saturday October 4. It is before Thanksgiving and the weather should be great. We are just working out a route.....

Just got home from meeting with nick and logan ,Its 1130pm so I willpost the route tommorrow . Everyone who is interested please keep the 4th of october open . As Nick said more details will follow .

heres the route for the tour
Starting in Minden, 35N to Carnovan ,118E to 11,11N to 117 ,117E to Dorset,35S to Carnovan ,118E to Haliburton ,121 back to Minden .
The total distance by map listed Kms is 180 Kms ,this should take about 3hours to complete ,allowing for pics and stops .

That route is soooo much fun, and as Mac said....lots of ops for pictures beside lakes, and the Dairy will still be open for ICECREAM (kawartha for those who don't know).

Gonna have to make this descision soon.
An official event doesnt just happen in a week's time like people think. It takes quite a bit of time oraganizing schedules, etc.
As discussed, since this is going to be our official October event, I need to have a date IN CONCRETE ASAP...
We cant keep rearangin schedules due to scheduling conflicts...

I love the Haliburton area. Are there plans to stay one night? Not that I'm gay (not that there is anything wrong with that Jean-Alain) but maybe hanging out at a bar there one night might be in order. I dunno - whatever you guys decide I would like to go on this cruise - awesome roads, awesome people, and nice scenery.

Even if the group is small I think we should still make this a go. 8 people might be plenty.

BTW if you want this thread to and meet to stay organized you will need to repost and have a moderator, moderate the posts to keep the messages clear and short.
