Just to give you an idea, I called Wheels Direct and they are going to come up with 3-4 different packages for our Club.
As an example of Wheels Direct pricing would be:
Wheel and Tire Zone:
15" steel wheels with 195/55R15 Kumho KW11 Winter Tires $785 + tax
Wheels Direct:
Same as above, but $615 Taxes IN and INTSTALLED (based on sales last year)
The take away from this, is let me work on this for the club. If we focus our attention on one dealer, we can be assured that we will get the best price and the best value for the $$$.
The price guides for this autumn and winter seasons have not come out yet, so the pricing you are recieving are probably high. Most tire places haven't even figured out what they are purchasing for the season. Yokohama, Perilli, etc... they haven't even started to ship winter tires to the major distributors in Canada yet.
I have asked them to come up with 3 packages:
1) 15" Steelie Package - CHEAPEST PRICE PACKAGE (no regard to brand preferance)
2) 15" Steelie Package - Better performance
3) 16" Rubber Package - Good Performance Rubber (not many options because of our 195/50/16 tire size)
They are working on it and will be getting back to us shortly. They did note, that they will not create a package that reaches a cheap price point and that offers a CRAP tire.
I hope this makes sense.
