I just got new rims and I really want to paint my calipers and my drums red in colour. What type of paint should I use to do this job? I would also like to know where I can get the paint and how much it costs. I have heard some people talk about a kit that can be purchased at the pacific. Can someone help?

You can go all out and spend $40 on a folia tec kit and do a 2 or 3 step process or go to CT and pick up some TREMCLAD for $6. I have used tremclad on several cars when painting the calipers and drums. Works great lasts a few years and is affordable.

For sure. I can't believe that people spend like $50 on paint for their brakes.
I used red Tramclad, and 'cruisin' is right, $5 for a small can, clean them with water and a brush, a couple coats, let it dry between coats, hell use a brush, not the spray and you don't even have to bother with masking anything around the brake.

Just one thing...guy...don't paint the drums red. I can't understand why people do that.

I was gonna paint the drums because they look ugly now with the rust and crap. I might just paint them black instead of red. Thanks guys, I'll let you know my results.
