What do you think of these rims? Looking for opinions. Would they look good on a protege?

I think they look BIG,....are you trying to post it actual size so we can get better visual of them on the car?? http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

They look good though,..Enkei makes some nice looking rims.

Are they the right offset?

I think there is a guy on the American forums with those rims on a P5 ...

Darren,

Just to confirm, if I want a 17X7 wheel with a 205/45/17 tire on it what kind of offset should I be looking at? At least 45+ right?

You're asking the wrong person (I've got the wrong offset on my rims http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif)

But there is a formula thing in the Wheels and Tires section.

45+ Offset is correct for the P5 as you said,....as for tire size for your rims, I couldn't tell you offhand, but you'll see it in that other post referred to.

NO, the picture is just a little big. The size I'm getting is 17x7 with 205/40/17 tires and the offset is 38. They will fit on my 2000 protege.

Barely. Not really recommended.
There are other 6-spoke rims that will fit better.

I have decided to go with the Enkei RS6 17x7 with 205/40/17 tires. I will have them intalled by Monday night. I will post pics as soon as I get my hands on a digital camera.

Yeah, that's cool, just do not drive away until you are sure that rear fenders do not rub with 3 fat asses on the rear seat.+38 is "pushing" it.
