Throttle Body spacers?

What do you guys think? If it can really help with gas mileage/power then i will think about getting one... but what are the chances really? if it worked well wouldn't car manufacturers be installing them factory?

the spacers are there to prevent heat soak iirc. Unless you are running an extreme setup, i doubt you would see much improvement.
