This is regarding the GHETTO CONCEPT PERFORMANCE TREND DOWNFORCERS™. I'm not a selfish bastard and the stencils will be available to every GCPT supporter and innovator along the way. Just gimme a lil' respect to my WRC Edition MP5.<tee-hee-hee>
I have the stencil, the cardboard mock up, the 18"X 24" (.177")thick acrylic clear platic plexi-glass sheet which is adequate to cut a pair of my downforcers.

This is the catch. The method of cutting/scoring and breaking off pieces is good, but the plastic is so, so, so, rigid and thick too. My problems may be the occasional curvatures.

The guide to cutting this plastic recommends the following..,
SAW BLADE WITH 2-3 TEETH PER INCH, CARBIDE TIPS, TRIPLE CHIP TOOTH DESIGN WITH A 0-5 DEGREE RAKE ANGLE

Does anyone have a table saw, bandsaw, dremel or friggin' laser?

This is out of my ghetto league and I am attempting the straighaways using the scoring and breakaway method. However, I'll have forearms like the Incredible Hulk with tendonitis, tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Does anyone have access to some of these things or have any ideas? I'll bring the stuff to the meet to show you the actual product.

Thanks in advance and I'ld love to hear positive imput and any ideas at all. Thanks to guys who have contributed and PM'd me too. ONce perfected and installed I will make a manual and tip sheet so it will beShibby-Proof™

I'm gonna be bringing my stencils and plastic sheet to the Westside Pre-Meet this thursday. I'll be the token black guy with the silver P5 TPC WRC MP5 Edition and the yellow mudflaps.

Go get your hands on a jig saw and buy an acrylic bit to cut the shizzle - no way you can make those curves with a table saw (plus wrong blades). A bad saw would be nice but a scrolling saw would be better.

Anyway I think the jigsaw is the best thing you could use. Use a low setting and cut slow so you don't melt the material.

Oh and Demon - go out and buy some tools - you can't be ghetto concept rep and not have the tools to make the things you want!

DEMON, i have a jig saw, you can borrow it, but i don't have a blade that will work on the plastic you need, so you might have to go out to crappy tire, or home depot and pick up a blade that's ment for use with acrylic plastic.......i'll bring my jig saw on thursday if you want to grab it........

That's the whole point of being ghetto and my ways of reppin' defines who I am. I have dreams and concepts like John D. Rockafella and Steven Speilberge but I have a ghetto budget and resources.

I still believe in the friend of a friend of a buddy who has a buddy who's cousin named Cooter(the guy with the tow truck) that knows somebody who can lend me a tool.

Okay Jali! It's a done deal. I'll see you at the meet with the jig saw. Guilio and Bill Stats and others, thanks for the offering of your resources and help. I'll keep you guys posted.

i have a scroll saw it could probably cut a circle about as small as a dime

wicked sharp blade perfect for plastics
i also have a sheet about 4 feet x 2 feet 1/4 inhc

D M N make shure u use a heavy masking tape over the surface surrounding the cut it helps the edges stay wicked

ALSO toothpaste with a 600G wet paper can make the dull edges turn crystle clear

demon doesn't use toothpaste.. we'll have to lend that to him.. he uses moist sticks from trees.. he's been taught by how we do back in the motherland..

keeps us close with nature.. as pooping in a forest does too, but that's for another day Demon.. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif
