I wasnt gonna say anything but that guy was rubbing me seriously the wrong way - I dunno if anyone else was sick of all the crap he was posting. But he seemed to have an issue with the show car guys and talked a lot of crap about putting your car where our mouths were etc? I didnt like that too much.

Anyways all his posts are now listed as by a Guest - Did someone wipe his a$$ out? If they did - May I shake your hand? If he did it on his own by mistake, smooth move!

I dont wanna be mean on the boards, but this guy was being an idiot and I would say that to his face.

Anyways discuss if you want, if not just ignore me

Actually Kurt he unregistered himself on purpose. He said "I know when Im not welcome" on another post. It wasnt because of you but because of a series of misunderstandings with a few people.

All the put your car where your mouth is stuff was him trying to let us know what hes all about. Hes about going fast. Ive been there.

I think his leaving was a loss for TPC. Not everyone here gets along perfectly. It was just going to take him a while to find out who he could relate to. He reminded me of myself trying to get the whole club out to a slalom back in May.

Anyways since we all bust out the "all are welcome" bit at the meets and stuff I feel like we kind of let him down.

Yes but Simon you did it in a professional and non-confrontational way....Im not a big race guy but I support all who do.

Gen1 made a bad name for himself when he started saying things that made it seem like he only respected those who raced, and if you didnt you were a waste and wasting your cars full potential....

Here we are a club of those who enjoy showing and those who enjoy racing and those who just enjoy being apart of the club - even those who enjoy everything....as soon as you start shooting your mouth off about how one is better than the other etc, is when youll get in trouble. Gen1 shot himself in the foot and Im not afraid to say im glad that attitude he had is gone with him.

I would never want anyone acting like one part of the club is better than the other, nor would I want anyone seeing that and assuming it was acceptable.

Thats my $0.02

Hey Kurt, we're on the same page in terms of our view towards racing. I don't like to race either. In fact, I have no plans on doing any performance modification, and I'm more into dolling up the car. Don't let other people's opinion bother you too much. It's all about what you like, as long as you enjoy what you're doing, then is all good. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I read the posts where you and him talked and I think all that can be chalked up to a difference in styles of communication. I dont think it was attitude.. just entheusiasm to show what he was made of.

Anyways I think he is logged back on I saw Gen1Gt at the bottom of the front page.

hmm... I think the guy just likes to drive.
so when you're passionate about something it's easy to get caught up and wonder why people with such amazing performing cars would rather have them sitting on carpet at a show than tearing off rubber around a track.

and his account .. well, i think it was messed up from the beginning like, it didn't register properly. i thought Jason fixed it but there are a few things not quite right with this server since it's been moved.

anyway .. it'll all come out this weekend on the auto-x course and we'll see if he can back up all his theory http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif maybe Kurt can backup his passion for showing off his car with a Trophy at Importfest in December.. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Trust me i wont be bringing anything home from Importfest that show is gonna be off the hook....I dont show to win anyways - dont get me wrong id love to win something - but showing is totally an enjoyment thing of being with the club and yes i wont lie i like it when people stop to look at my car.

Gen1 is passionate but he should find a more diplomatic way...trust me i know im not the only one who thought this way

You don't have to worry about my diplomacy Kurt. I'm going to keep a low profile until you get to know me, and see that I'm not some ignorant prick, who's here to rub people the wrong way. For real, I am truely sorry that I've come across that way(apparently to more than one person), and I'm going to make it up to the club.

And trust me, I'm not braggin. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif I do all my partying in Toronto for a reason
