I would like to replace the stock headlight bulbs in my 2000 sedan. I want something that's a direct fit without any adapters or harnesses or anything. Something white with a bluish tint to them (but not too blue).

Also I'm not looking to spend a fortune... like $60 or $70 is good.

Please also let me know where they can be purchased -- I'm at Victoria Park & Lawrence, so the closer the better.

TIA

Bulbs are relatively cheap. I know you can get Eurolite bulbs for $25 a pair at any shop in the Pacific mall. They aren't too bad (especially at $25). But I think some of the other brands might be better (and a little more). You just have to find out what bulb number they are.

I'm using a Litech brand bulb. The store that i bought it from is an all accessories store in First Markham Place. Sorry, forgot the name, but the owner backs most of his bulbs with a 1 year warranty. the one's i have are backed by this warranty, so if one blows, i can get a new pair.

The Litech brand that Chops is using is pretty good, i used them before, but now i slapped them onto my sister's c230. I got these Showoffs krypton-gas lights, they are really bright (100W), and shows a hint of blue when u first turn it off, while settling down to a nice solid white thereafter (which is what u wanted). They go for about $40 or so at certain shops. If you're in 'sauga, go to Speedbump in Streetsville, Mike there will hook you up.

dont waste your money on the 30 dollar pairs. you might as well spend the 60 dollars for a good reliable pair. you find that the cheap ones break on you and then you would find yourself buying more replacements.

I've had my Eurolites for a year and a half and haven't had a problem with them yet. *fingers crossed* Besides, at $25 dollars I can afford to replace them every year. Although I am thinking of trying the B1 Hybrids if my bulbs ever do blow.

I agree with redfyre, I had Eurolite super whites and they lasted over a year. Funny thing is they burnt out only a couple weeks apart.
Now I have Sylvania Silverstars. Pretty happy with them...just thought they would be a little brighter.

Ok, heres my $0.02.
I had the Sylvania's from Crappy Tire in my car for a year and a half until one burnt out. Pretty good for $30 (or whatever I paid), however, not as bright as I wanted and little to no blue tinge.
After I had the one blow, I bought the Eurolite bulbs because I personnally had them last over a year on my EGT and its been almost a year on my 02 Civic. Plus, I just got my new JDM headlights and I like the way the light reflects in the housings. Well, those bulbs lasted less than two months. My buddy has had to by 3 sets for his Sunfire since Christmas and my other buddy blows a bulb in his 318 like once a month. So, not wanting to fall into the crappy 'Bulb-a-Month Club'. I decided to shell out the $100 for a set of PIAA bulbs yesterday. The PIAA have a 1 year warranty (honured by the shop that sold them to me) and are MUCH brighter than the Toucan bulbs.
The way I figure it (based on the current trend):
$30/pair X 4 pairs/year=approx. $120
One pair of PIAA (Guaranteed for one year)=$100
If I ONLY get one year out of the PIAA (and they'll probably last longer than that), I will be ahead of the game.
PIAA makes quality products; TOUCAN makes money!

I think it all comes down to personal experience, I've been lucky so far with my Eurolites where as some other people have not been. Remember too that xenon gas filled bulbs do burn hotter than stock halogen bulbs so the life expectancy is shortened. I too am not fan of the Sylvania Silverstars but there are lots of people out there who have had good experiences with them. I just wanted to add my two cents on my personal experiences. However, if my bulbs ever do blow I will try another brand in my ongoing search for brighter lights (that don't cost me an arm and a leg - HIDS).
