I decided I didn't want the usb cable just hanging in the glove box or on my cub holders.

I picked up a USB extension, and decided to flush mount it in the front of my ashtray (if I screw it up I can replace that easily).

I removed the front part of the ash tray, two philips screws.

I am going to cut the plastic on the usb down so it has a lip to sit on.

Here is the tip cut down so I have a lip to cover the edge of the hole I will make in the ashtray.

Lost the pics of the hole I cut in the ashtray. I just used small dremmel bits and cut a square hole in the ash tray and the cover. Then slide the USB cable in until it sat on the lip. I then used a high heat glue gun to secure it inside the ashtray.

That's it. If I could find it, clarion has pre-made ones that mount flush into stuff, but they seem to be backorder'd or costly to ship from the states.

But I'm pretty happy to have this in. :D

That looks nice.

Fix your links, a couple of them don't work.

Nice! Might do the same with the aux line in on mine.

Thanks for the idea.
