hey guys...

I had a couple of questions about the ECU in terms of how it tracks mileage (as compared to what the dash readout says) and what happens to the ECU when you disconnect the battery for the 10 minutes... what information does the ECU keep?? and what does it lose??

Can anyone help?? http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif

It's gonna keep your mileage but you will lose your trip meter. You can lose radio presets and the clock as well.

when you resets the your ECU it also resets all the settings, i.e the mapping, and how the computer is use to the way u drive the car. Thats why most people when they add mods to there car, they reset the ECU to learn the new settings.

I hope that helps

I don't know if this helps, but since we are on ECU...I saw something on the fm (flying maita) site comparing MP3 ECU and P5 ecus....
