These pics are the completed clear bumper lenses conversion. The APC 402010BL (Eclipse Clear) takes a lot of work to fit our cars. The end results make me happy but not orgasmic. They stick out a LOT but I just really hated the orange bumper lenses. Oh and BIG UPS to Mike (Chops) for the pics. Oh and just in case the "bumper lense conversion" fooled you, the car in the pics is still a Pro5 not an eclipse! LOL

When you get the lenses there are several things you must do to make them fit your car.
1. The brackets on the Eclipse lenses are closer together than our stock one. You must trim down the braket to the rear to half its height then rebend the metal clip so that it is far out enough to pressure fit your lenses when you put them in the bumper (the resulting new hole in the rear bracket will need to be tapped with the screw provided with the Eclipse lenses). All the cutting of plastic can be done with an x-acto knife or dremel (I found the x-acto knife much quicker) There are also tabs on the lense body, they must also be shaved flush to the base of the lense.
2. Before mounting the lense into the bumper the bumper holes need to be cut to accept the Eclipse lense. The forward hole needs to be elongated (forward) between 3 - 5mm enought to fit the lense's front clip. The centre hole need to be enlarged (forward) to fit the differently shaped Eclipse lense.
3. Once everything is ready put in the lense; front first ensuring that the clip engages the bumper then the rear metal spring needs to be pushed or pulled into the bumper. Pulling was best for me - to do so reach under the bumper and use a screwdriver to bend in the metal. Oh and be sure to attach the bulbs before you place in the new bumper lense.
All the above will make more sense after you have the lense in your hands and see what needs to be done. It should take you around 3 hours to do everything - maybe more. You can decide if it's worth your time for a bumper lense.
