View Full Version : Zymol Cleaner Wax
Limited Edition

Hi there,
I just made the decision that i wasn't going to use the 3 stage cleaner/polish/wax, but to go with one bottle of Zymol Cleaner Wax. It was just slightly cheaper then going with three bottles, and less time consuming, and i remember hearing good things about Zymol.
The bottle says it can removie swirls and minor scratches and i hope it does just that. If some of you read from msprotege.com, a air box long with a few other items fell from a shelf in my garage a few days ago and it left scratches on my right fender and bumper including a nice dent.
What do you guys think of Zymol who have recently used it? I want to do the entire car sometime this week. My entire car has never been waxed since i took delivery, 7 months ago.
Any tips on how to apply it and how to remove it?
What kind of cloth can i use? I was just thinking about using old 100% cloth shirts that i don't wear anymore.
Thanks

hey,
i haven't used zymol wax before but i heard it was pretty good. use a 100% terry cloth or waxing pad to do the job. wax a little at a time, don't use huge blobs. do it in a back and forth motion. also, do it in the shade of course.
hope this helps.

I seem to remember Zymol was a "less than known" product that was a best kept secret a few years back.
Let us know.
All I know is that it's not cheap stuff.

first off.....did u buy it at crappy tire? if so, that us the chaeper version of their more potent stuff.
I've used the top of the line zymol products. Typically for about 60$ USD for a small container. This stuff must be kept in the freezer before and after use and smells awesome. I spent the entire waxing my swift with this stuff before i sold it. it was a 2 stepp process , with the final step being applied with my bare hands (no cloth) as instructed. Next time i'm in the US, i'm buying it.
My buddy has used this stuff on his limited edition camaro SS and has won numerous awards with it!!! http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Used it about 3 wks ago.
It's not meant for super shine.
I think I should've applied it with a bit more force a per their website, but generally I'm happy.
I can still see the water beading up, and washing is quicker now.
As for scratches, if they're deep then this wax won't help it [but like I said, I think I didn't apply it correctly].
I used a Terry cloth to apply, and bought a Simoniz Microfibre cloth to buff it off.
Hmmmmmm, sounds like we should have a car care section..... http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

hell yes that would be good, as a new owner and not very knowlegable about car care at all, it would be good to have a section dedicated to good products to keep my spicey orange MSP very spicey indeed for many years.

Yup, that's the stuff I used to use on my Golf (expensive as all hell, but worth every U.S. penny). That, and Liquid Glass, were two of the best kept secrets around these parts at one time.
