This is my first mod for my P5. Although it looks like a short shifter, it's actually just the stock shifter with the thick part of the shaft removed. Removing that piece shortent the shaft by about half. It's a pretty weird piece though as it is not screwed to the bottom piece of the shifter. The fat part of the shaft is filled with some kind of thick uerthane filling. The bottom part of the shifter sort of swims in the middle of that crap. I'm guessing it's to absorb vibration from the tranny, although I am not experiencing added vibration after the mod. At first I tried to remove the piece by turning it with vice grips but it does nothing but bounce back to the same position. So I took a torch to it. After the smoke cleared, the piece slid right off. The knob is a Momo Combat with a Momo Endurance boot. A Momo ring piece joins the boot to the bottom of the shifter( $25 bucks! ). Turned out pretty good for my first mod.
