Well I guess its my turn for the big gauge ring to come off. I know alot of you had this problem and I didn't tape them on .I guess its the heat expanding the plastic lip and pushing off the ring. Live and learn. I will be taking it off soon to fix........ http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/withstupid.gif

Down here at Ghetto Concept Performance Trends we took off all the guage rings and bent the edges slightly and the rings oval so they could be wedged on.

3M double sided tape solved my problem. At least temporarily. They haven't budged since using it.

A little dab of glue on the top inside of the ring is fine..
Fine haven't Budged either...

Only a little dab will do!

Alex, what type of glue did you use? I've tried 3 times now with double sided tape and after less than a week it's coming up a fourth time. Getting close to taking them off for good...only problem is I like the way they look!!

Any glue should be fine.
keep in mind that you don't want to use to much just in case you want to remove them for some reason.

I think I use the only glue I can find in my garage...Carpenter Glue

Use carpenter's or white glue because if you want to take them off for good, the film the glue leaves can be peeled off.

Crazy glue or the like will actaully melt the plastic.

plus...the vapors from the crazy glue will adhere to any close by particles or oils in the area....not cool!

this sounds like the best idea so far. no mess, no problems.

Contact cement worked great for me. Some on the dash and some on the rings, wait 15 minutes and push on.
