So, my friend had demolished his AutoEXE lip from his sedan when removing his car from storage, and decided to give it to me. This being that I enjoy spending my weekends working on modifications to the car, while my kids bike up and down the sidewalk.

Unfortunately I did not take pictures of the 2, almost 3 pieces of what was once a lip, but instead got right into it, and here's where it's at now...

(Please note, I'm new to fiber glassing, this is the FIRST time)

So, all-in-all I've
1. Re-attached the broken off part to the rest of it
2. Re-attached the part hanging on by the bottom 2 inches
3. Cut it in half to expand the width by 3 inches
4. Cut away the form for the fog lights, and bumper parts around the lower grill
5. Filled in all the missing "chunks"
6. Built up some of the edges to fill in the gaps between the bumper and lip

Lots more still to go... getting better with time!

Thanks for lookin'!

Cheers!

I've never seen an AutoEXE lip that flares out that much on the bottom? ;)

^ Its the RZ style lip for the sedan, its not an Autoexe.

go to your local autobody supplie guy and get your self a can of "vette bond" its the best fiberglass bondo i knowof. its much stronger than the others and goes on alot nicer than the others too. keep up the good work

also i'd build it up to go under the fogs like the autoexe lip for the p5

Ive worked with Fiberglass repair kits in the past, so I can definitely appreciate all the hard work you've put into this. However, I find that the lip is sitting a bit funny right now. Unless you plan on having this piece molded onto the bumper as some point, I can't see it sitting properly without major noticeable gaps and uneven body lines.

I could be wrong though so keep at it and post more pics of your progress.
