i was drivin on main today and smashed into the back of another ride, my brakes locked and my tired skid about 8 feet into his car. Ive been saving to get a new set of tires and brakes but it looks like not soon enough. My question is can i take the bumper and lights off a 01 sedan and drop it on my 00 body? or do i need the fenders too? also my hood has bent like crazy so will i need the 01 hood or can i use the 00? any help would be great since im gonna have to get this stuff from the junker tomorrow

I believe you'd need the hood, fenders, headlights, bumper as well as the rad support

Sorry to hear about your accident.
Are you going through insurance? Depending on what needs to be replaced talk to the shop and see if they will work on getting you all the parts from the 01-03. Thats how I got my MSP bumper and lip.

thanks guys, i didnt hit too hard so there isnt any damage to the frame. I ended up doin fiber glass repair on the bumper so its gonna make it, im gonna need new headlights and hood though. I hit a new nissan rogue so i scooped under it and the hood took most of the damage, the grill is a little damaged but ill fix it up no problems. Ive been outside working on it with my brother for the last 3 hours so its looking a lot better, a trip to the scrap yard tomorrow for lights and the hood, ill let u guys know what happens from there for sure

Glad to hear no one was hurt. My sister and I were rear ended back in spring of 2000 by a Protege that was at the time brand new. Same situation, the car dove under us and folded the hood right up. Expensive lesson to learn to look further ahead and leave more following distance.

if your brakes locked up, you needed tires more than brakes

yea for sure, i replaced all 4 tires today with new ones, im changing the brake pads in the fronts tomorrow and the backs next weekend. I picked up a new hood from the junker for $100 black with a bit of rust on it, im gonna prep it and get maaco to spray that shit down for me to match. Im sanding and painting the bumper tomorrow as well. so all that is left, will be headlights, fiberglass filler and a bit of work on the grill.
