I'm currently installing some neons under my dash and I want them to light up when my doors open. So I'm looking for the door trigger. It is supposed to be the black/blue wire, but it doesn't work; I found 4 of them (???) and not one of them is working http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif !

Any help ???

Thanks

i know this site shows u all the wires and wut they do http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Mazda Pro site (http://www.automediazone.com/pro/)

enter site then go 2 enter how 2 ahh fuck it here

1st gen DOOR TRIGGER red/white - fusebox, white plug facing you

2nd gen DOOR TRIGGER red/white - driver kick panel

3rd gen DOOR TRIGGER black/blue - driver kick panel

done

also rember if your using these wires for your lights they dont give off power not they are just triggers
so u need 2 get a relay so that the door pin switch wire turns relay on giving power 2 your neons

i did simalier thing with my neons and my alarm i can turn them off and on with alram :)hehe

So you're saying that it is normal that I'm not getting 12V on the black/blue wire when my door are open (or close... not sure about that) ? And if I'm using a relay, do I have to cut the wire or just slice it !?

Thanks ...

Ok ... so the wire is just a switch, but It must be showing some kind of power !??? I got a big zero on my multimeter. If I want the relay to be trigger, there must be some current that past in it, but to have current, you must have a potential difference, which I'm not having !?

Sorry for all the question, but I just dont get it...

Is the door trigger reacting to the black pin door located at the rear of the door. If so, I already tried to push it while the door is open (Just like when the door is close) and nothing happened ! Do I have to really physically close the door ???
